Valerie Glassman

Dr. Valerie Glassman (she/her/hers) is an award-winning scholar/practitioner/researcher whose work aims to transform the higher education and student affairs landscape into a space of wellness, justice, and flourishing. She worked as a college student conduct administrator for 13 years, inspiring her research interest in the lived experiences of student affairs practitioners. Valerie co-authored a chapter in the second edition of Reframing Campus Conflict, widely acknowledged as the authoritative source on inclusive conflict excellence for colleges and universities, and is working on a chapter on student conduct for a volume about religious, spiritual, and secular identities. She currently serves as the Associate Editor for Special Issues for the Journal of Trauma Studies in Education (https://www.ojed.org/index.php/JTSE/index) and is the co-chair of the Association for Student Conduct Administration's Research Committee. She earned her Doctor of Education from East Carolina University in 2021, and has been recognized by ACPA - College Student Educators International and the Association for Student Conduct Administration for outstanding research, contributions to scholarship, and student impact.
