Professional Biography

In addition to many years working with teachers and multilingual writers in higher education, I bring to Salem State's English TESOL program and the larger community extensive international experience in higher education. I've worked as a context-sensitive curriculum developer and teacher educator in Kurdistan, Iraq; at the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kabul, Afghanistan; at Balkh University in Mazar-e-Sharif, Afghanistan; and throughout Central, Eastern, and Southeastern Europe, primarily in Hungary, Serbia, and the Transylvanian region of Romania. Most recently I taught a course in Nanjing, China.
