Professional Biography

Benjamin Gross, Professor in the Art + Design Department at Salem State University in Salem, MA, since 1997, earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Delaware and a Master of Fine Arts from Cranbrook Academy of Art. He is a member of The Boston Printmakers. His work has been exhibited in regional, national, and international solo and group exhibitions. Some specific exhibitions include: a solo exhibition “A Mid-Career Retrospective” at the Waverly Gallery in Gladwyne, PA, “Double Duty” a group exhibition showcasing the work of artists who have worked or currently work as curators - Carroll Community College, Westminster, MD, a group exhibit of printmakers at Gloucester’s Rocky Neck Cultural Center, a group exhibit at Zeitgeist Gallery in Beverly, MA, an International Group Exhibit of Contemporary Artists - Modern Printmaking Defined at the Awa Gin Plaza Gallery in Tokushima City, Japan, the Winfisky Gallery in Salem, MA, Gallery 401 in Providence, RI, The Mangel Gallery in Philadelphia, PA, The International Print Exchange Exhibition in Derby, United Kingdom, The Cranbrook Art Museum in Bloomfield Hills, MI, The Manhattan Graphics Center Exhibition in NYC, The Essex Art Center in Lawrence, MA, and California State University in Long Beach, CA to name a few.
