Academic Interests:

Civic and participatory media, critical media studies, digital media technologies, media and culture, and civic engagement.

My research investigates spaces of dissension and the negotiation of political power through civic media for dissent, with a focus on how poverty experts produce experiential knowledge. I engage in community-based design that facilitates a participatory media process in which participants co-construct collective stories about the lived experiences of poverty in a post-2009 recession society in the U.S. To learn more, please visit my website at http://csvincent.com.
