Professional Biography

Proactive and results-driven senior marketing professional with 35 years of experience. Expertise in connecting targeted audiences with educational and art institutions through strategic planning, media relations, target marketing, web site and digital content development, along with employing a mix of platforms (print, advertising, events, online advertising, social media, film and video, electronic communications) to exceed goals. 

Responsibilities

—Serve as the university’s chief marketing officer and storyteller
—Effectively lead the development and execution of a comprehensive marketing plan that moves forward the brand identity of Salem State University, ensuring that all initiatives are aligned with the goals of the strategic plan
—Collaborate with the president and vice president of student success to plan and develop marketing strategies to lead the university's branding and positioning goals, and support campus-wide recruitment, retention, outreach, image, and fundraising goals
—Interact with academic deans and directors to establish goals for their programs, developing strategies for achieving success in marketing their programs
—Directs the efforts of the marketing, communications and creative services staff to implement all university marketing strategies, both internal and external
—Direct responsibility for managing the university's brand
—Responsible for on-campus filming
—Develop and maintain all interactive and electronic marketing initiatives including the public website and social media, to showcase our full range of programs and resources 
—Supervise relevant market research, oversight of campus publications, photography, videography, social media, and website administration along with other digital efforts, including email communications, including editorial review and content development
—Ensure that all content is consistent with established messaging criteria
