Don provides leadership for BSB's Center for Student Success. The Center's mission is to ensure that every student has access to the resources and support they need to succeed at BSB, to graduate and launch successful careers, and to contribute to the well-being of their communities.
Prior to his role as Director Student Success, Don was a long-time BSB faculty member teaching marketing.
Don's distinguished career began far from corporate life, but not so far from his love of working with people and helping them to succeed. After completing his undergraduate degree, Don taught high school English and History and coached the football and track teams at Immaculate High School in Danbury, Connecticut.
Don's professional career spans several decades and includes:
*Co-Founder and Managing Partner, March Second, Inc. a marketing technology and services company specializing in implementing and supporting CRM and business intelligence software solutions
*Executive Vice President at Quaero Corporation where he built and managed the company's outsourced marketing solutions business.
*Chief Marketing Officer at Veridiem, a venture-funded enterprise software company that was sold to SAS.
*EVP and Managing Partner at Hill Holliday where he led the agency's relationship marketing practice and helped pioneer one to one branding and customer value optimization for First Union, Fidelity, TJ Maxx, Cingular One, and John Hancock.
*President of Clarion Direct Marketing, where he established and built the company's first integrated marketing practice and successfully attracted major clients like Microsoft, General Motors, Chase Manhattan Bank and British Airways.
*Founder of Saugatuck Direct, a direct marketing consultancy specializing in designing and implementing direct marketing promotions and loyalty programs.
*Executive Vice President at The Direct Marketing Group, where he managed the company's agency business and was responsible for several successful acquisitions that expanded the Group's telemarketing and data technology capabilities.
*Executive management positions at Pitney Bowes, including successfully leading teams in corporate development, investor relations, product management, and sales and marketing.
Don lives in Marblehead Massachusetts with his wife Joan where he can be found indulging in his passion for sailing, motorcycles, and tennis.
Don has an MBA in Finance and Marketing from Columbia University and a B.A. in English and History from Western Connecticut University.
