Ivan Pina

Ivan has worked for more than thirteen years in the fields of education and student development.  He is the Coordinator of Student Development within TRIO Student Support Services at the Center for Academic Excellence at Salem State.  Before that time, he worked as a Student Counselor serving as the Assistant Coordinator of Student Development.  Ivan strives to help students achieve their personal and academic goals and make the most of their opportunities here at Salem State. Committed to professional development, Ivan regularly attends conferences and seminars to keep current on the latest trends and expectations in the field of student development  and academic advising. He is also a member of the various committees on campus that are designated to promote and enhance students overall collegiate experiences.  Ivan holds a master’s degree in Community Economic Development from Southern New Hampshire University and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Salem State University.
