I am the Interim Dean of the School of Social Work at Salem State University. Prior to taking on this role, I served as the BSW Program Coordinator. As a facutly member, I taught a variety of courses in the undergraduate social work curriculum, most recently teaching primarily research methods and diversity courses, including an MSW diversity course.
I have practiced in both the child welfare and healthcare fields and worked with complex systems for non-profit development and community organizing. My research and scholarship interests encompass child welfare; diversity, equity, and social justice; workforce development; and social work education. From 2009 to 2014, I coordinated the Massachusetts BSW Child Welfare Scholars Project, which supported the education and professional development of students dedicated to practicing in the field of child welfare.
I enjoy reading (especially biographies and historical non-fiction), watching movies, dancing, cooking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
